Since we can’t all be together on campus, this day will be focused on giving you an opportunity to connect with our campus virtually. You’ll get to participate in a scavenger hunt that highlights different elements of what our campus has to offer as well as videos from students, alumni, and faculty about their favorite parts of campus!

Day 3: Student Experience
Monday, April 27 starting at 6 p.m. Eastern

At LC, we know the college experience is about so much more than just what you will learn in the classroom! That’s why Day 3 of Accepted Students SHARK Week is dedicated to the student experience. From sports and clubs to our therapy dog program—we can’t wait to share how we make the experience for students as enriching out of the classroom as it is inside it!

That’s why Day 6 is all about the real-world experiences we offer to help our students become well rounded individuals and achieve their career goals! Day 7: Keys to Succeeding at LC
Friday, May 1 starting at 6 p.m. Eastern

On our last day for all accepted students, we will focus the conversation on the keys to succeeding here. By this point, you’ll have learned a lot about why LC is the college of choice for students who learn differently, but on Day 7 you’ll hear directly from Landmark College parents on how LC has helped their students succeed.

Deposited Students Only Day
Saturday, May 2

This day is devoted solely to students who have accepted LC’s offer of admission for the fall term and have submitted their deposit to hold their place in the entering class. All deposited students who participate will be entered to win a Lenovo Yoga X390 Convertible Tablet/Computer, Laundry Service for your fall semester, or a $250 scholarship. Students will also get access to an exclusive virtual session that focuses on a preview of their fall academic semester (placement), an overview of the Student Portal, and housing selection process. Students who have deposited for the Transition at College (TaC) program will also have access to a Q&A session just for them. The day’s schedule includes:

1 p.m. ET—Welcome/Overview of the Day—Kevin M.R. Mayne, Vice President for Enrollment Management

1:15 p.m. ET—Preview Your Fall Academic Semester—As part of your admissions selection, you were placed into one of the three Placement Points of Entry (see below). During this session, you will be able to connect with a member of the Academic Affairs department, learn about your placement, and prepare for your fall studies:

  • Language Intensive Curriculum (LIC)—Chris Arieta, Director of First-Year Academic Programming & Placement
  • Strategic Transition Entry Point (STEP)—Jill Hinckley, Dean of School of Education
  • Full Credit & Transfer Placement—Debbie Hayward, Director of Advising

2:15 p.m. ET—Your LC Student Portal & Housing Selection Sessions—Michael Luciani, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Campus Life

Introduction to Your Student Porta—There are a number of important forms and tasks that you need to do to prepare for your arrival on the LC campus this fall. VP Luciani will help walk you through this process.

Housing Selection at LC—VP Luciani will provide you with an overview of the steps you need to take to complete your housing application. There will be an opportunity to arrange individual appointments with him at the conclusion of the day’s events.

3 p.m. ET—Transition at College (TaC) Q&A—this session is ONLY for students who have been admitted to TaC and have submitted their deposits for the program.

4 p.m. ET—PRIZES! Tune in to find out if you have won the big week’s prizes of the laptop, laundry service, or scholarship!
