Setting Up for (Virtual) Success: Get Ready for Virtual Accepted Students SHARK Week

Virtual Accepted Student Week Banner

As you know, our Accepted Students SHARK Week will be virtual! We will be interacting all week long with content on our page just for you and on BlueJeans, a video conferencing software, that will allow us to share live panels and answer your questions in real time.

Our week-long celebration from Saturday, April 25 to Saturday, May 2 will kick off with an online welcome and introduction to the week’s activities at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 25. Each themed day will include live sessions, panel discussions, Q&As, activities, contests, prizes and more! We want to make sure you are set up to enjoy the week, so we’ve included some virtual tips and resources to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible.

  1. Make sure you view all virtual sessions through a Google Chrome browser or by downloading the Bluejeans app. We use BlueJeans to stream our content, and the best way to view videos without technical issues is by opening the app through Google Chrome.

  2. Stay connected by email and our Facebook group so you don’t miss out on any of the great content and sessions we will share throughout the week. Our live sessions will all take place on BlueJeans but we will be sharing other content through our social media channels. So be sure you are following along! And remember—we are storing all of our content and session info here, so you can easily find anything you need!

  3. Check out our filters on snapchat! We have 9 new filters to celebrate our accepted students! We may not be together physically, but that doesn’t mean we can’t show some LC pride! Check out the instructions on how to access them here. Once you’ve downloaded them, be sure to send us a photo or share to your Instagram and tag us!

  4. Click HERE to learn how to chat with the event moderators, other attendees, or ask questions during a session through BlueJeans.

  5. Check your Internet connection in advance. Often lagging videos are due to your Internet connection, so try streaming videos in advance to make sure your Internet speed is fast enough.
