Pandemic response using Moderna’s mRNA platform technology

Location: Virtual platform

Darin Edwards is the Associate Director of Immunology for the Infectious Disease group at Moderna.  He currently leads the research group that has developed and evaluated Moderna’s SARS-CoV-2 mRNA-1273 vaccine.  In addition to this program, Darin has also been involved in the development of many of the vaccines in Moderna’s pipeline, including CMV, RSV, and hMPV/PIV vaccines.

Prior to joining Moderna, Darin was at Sanofi Pasteur where he spent close to a decade working to develop vaccines against infectious diseases, including influenza, dengue, and yellow fever.

In his free time, Darin enjoys chasing after his kids and dogs who always seem to have way more energy than he does.

This presentation is co-sponsored by the Landmark College Access to Innovation -STEM grant  (National Science Foundation, DUE S-STEM Award # 1643326)
