Landmark College Recognized as Best Regional College for Innovation and Undergraduate Teaching by U.S. News & World Report

Landmark College tied for the top rating in two regional categories of the U.S. News & World Report 2022 Best Colleges rankings, sharing number one in Best Undergraduate —North Region with Colby-Sawyer College, and Most Innovative Colleges—North Region with Cooper Union.

This is the third straight year that the Putney, Vermont-based institution that exclusively enrolls students with learning differences (including dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and executive function challenges) has either tied or been solely rated number one in these categories.

Ratings in both categories are based on surveys sent to presidents, provosts, admissions deans and other top officials at peer institutions, according to U.S. News & World Report. Its methodology describes nominations for Best Undergraduate Teaching as based in part on the belief that “faculty and administrators were committed to teaching undergraduate students in a high-quality manner”; while Most Innovative nominations identify schools that are “making the most innovative improvements toward curriculum, faculty, students, campus life, technology and facilities.”

President Peter Eden, Ph.D., credits the entire Landmark College community for the consecutive top ratings. “We have received these recognitions for a third straight year, which further provides evidence that our highly intentional mission tied to realizing strengths in neurodiversity drives student success, whether at our residential flagship campus in Vermont, at our Success Center in the San Francisco, California Bay Area, or anywhere in the world via LC Online,” says Eden. “Through LC and its expanding programs, many more young people with learning differences will find success, as they apply their unique abilities for the good of society.”
