Professor Jen Morris Art Opening
In an exhibit that runs from Oct 19 until Nov 16, Landmark Art Professor Jen Morris displays a series of photographs based on the title "Enunciate." In her words: "This body of work has been inspired by the way we choose to navigate physical space and personal situation, and how these two states intersect. The images are specifically grouped to articulate meaning, with iteration serving as a methodology for enunciation."
Professor Morris’ work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. She received her BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in 1998, and her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2006. She is now an Associate Professor of Art at Landmark College in Putney, Vermont, and an Artist Teacher with the Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier, Vermont. Her work investigates the process of feminizing tropes that have been established within historical genre representations of landscape and still life with the intention to rebuild notions of longing, empowerment, and submission.
