Online Dual Enrollment
Preparing Students with Learning Differences for College Transition.
Through our personalized and highly supportive approach to online learning, our students develop critical academic skills, explore their interests, and earn college credits while in high school.
Program Overview
LC Online Dual Enrollment (ODE) courses are available to high school juniors and seniors with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, or executive function challenges.
Each course is designed and delivered using research-based best practices for online learning. Courses are personalized and highly supportive, helping to customize the learning environment. Student class size is kept small, averaging 12-14 students, to ensure students receive individual attention and feedback from experienced educators.
Course Structure
Students engage in both asynchronous and synchronous course components. The curriculum is available any time of day, which allows students maximum flexibility. Students receive one-to-one synchronous coaching sessions with their instructors and course advisors. Engaging activities such as discussion forums, group projects, case studies, and more, add to a rich and interactive learning experience.
Benefits of Online Dual Enrollment
Dual enrollment courses offer college preparedness and transition benefits in academic, social-emotional, and economic domains. ODE students earn college credits, build communication skills, and engage in a college context.
Online Learning Resources
We understand that students choosing to learn online need to develop the skills required to be successful. We offer embedded scaffolds to support students such as an Online Student Readiness training which allows students to gain practical skills to support their success with online learning.
