Identification:
Leaves—elliptic with fine-toothed margins, bright green on top and lighter green underneath
Twigs—reddish-brown shoots
Flowers—white flower blooms in early spring
Fruit—rounded fruit with red to purple skin; amber yellow flesh is aromatic and juicy

Natural History:
Natural distribution and habitat—Native to China. It's also grown in fruit orchards in Vietnam, Korea, Japan, the United States, and Australia.
Uses—The fruit is used for eating, canning, or making jelly.
