Veterans' Benefits
Landmark College is very enthusiastic about supporting veterans through the post-9/11 GI Bill® and the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs (VA).
Students who are eligible for Veterans Benefits must provide to the Financial Aid Office a Certificate of Eligibility. This certificate can be obtained by completing a form 22-1990 available online at VONAPP, the Veterans Online Application website.
Post-9/11 GI Bill®
Eligibility for this benefit is extended to a service member or veteran who has served a minimum of 90 aggregate days on active duty after September 10, 2001.
An exception for eligibility is provided for those who were honorably discharged because of a service-connected disability after serving 30 continuous days after September 10, 2001.
Benefits may include:
- Annual tuition payments (for tuition payment information for Landmark College, see the Yellow Ribbon Program below).
- A monthly housing allowance.
- An annual stipend for books and supplies.
- A one-time rural benefit payment.
Yellow Ribbon Program
Landmark College has entered into agreement with the VA to provide the Yellow Ribbon benefit.
To receive the benefit for this program a service member must have served a minimum of 36 aggregate months on active duty after September 10, 2001.
An exception for eligibility is provided for those who were honorably discharged because of a service-connected disability after serving 30 continuous days after September 10, 2001. For those eligible, Landmark College will provide a yearly scholarship of $20,000.
The Veterans Administration will then match this amount. This benefit is provided to eligible veterans through the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008 under the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program (Yellow Ribbon Program) provision.
For additional information on how to apply for educational benefits, or about changes in enrollment status, please contact the College's VA Certifying Official, Erin Craw, at 802-387-6808, or stop by the Financial Aid Office.
Students and families can find additional information and check the status of their benefits by visiting the GI Bill® website, or calling the automated phone system at 1-888-GIBILL1, available24 hours a day.
