Alexia joins the Success Center as a Learning Specialist after having recently retired from 31 years of service in public education. Her experiences include roles as Special Education and General Education teacher, elementary, high school and adult school principalships, and district level director positions in student services, Special Education and preschool programs. Previous leadership roles include building social-emotional competencies for students in all grade levels, development of goals and programs for students with a variety of learning differences, creating a college and career platform for graduates, and establishing a career technology culinary arts pathway for students in high school. She serves as a Social Coach for the Landmark High School program during the summer in Putney, Vermont and works with clients in the San Mateo/Bay Area during the year. Born in Barre, Vermont and raised in Berkeley, California, she currently lives in Richmond, California with her husband and spends time with her adult children traveling, cooking, and gardening.
