Athletics, Fitness, and Recreation
Holistic, engaging movement that enriches the lives of all members of our community.
Landmark College’s athletic, intramural, recreation, and outdoor programs provide exciting opportunities for students through a wide array of offerings.
We value the lessons that come through participation in our programs:
- Teamwork and a commitment to others
- Leadership and the development of integrity
- Honesty and ethical behavior
- Sportsmanship (including winning with humility and losing with grace)
- Development of healthy habits to last a lifetime
In addition to our Athletics, Fitness, and Recreation programming, Landmark College also offers Physical Education courses. Our emphasis in all of these arenas is on safe, respectful, and fair competition as well as a commitment to supporting diversity and gender equality.

Athletic Facilities
The Charles Drake Athletic Field
Our main athletic field, the Charles Drake Athletic Field, is a regulation-size soccer and lacrosse turf field, composed of a natural, environmentally-friendly, state-of-the-art infill material. The field is named for Dr. Charles Drake, the founder of Landmark College and a Harvard-trained educator. Drake had severe dyslexia, and his mission was to establish a college that would meet the needs of students like him.
The field is available for rental by soccer and lacrosse teams, schools, and community groups. For rental information, contact Josh Ascani, Landmark College’s Director of Athletics, Fitness, and Recreation, at 802-387-6786 or joshascani@landmark.edu.
Other Fields
The quad in the middle of campus, surrounded by a colonnade and classrooms, is the location for softball games and many other sports and activities.
The baseball field is 3 miles south of campus and has major-league dimensions.
Indoor Facilities
Our Click Family Sports Center houses our basketball court; lines for tennis, badminton, and volleyball; and a climbing wall.
It also features two fitness spaces: a cardio room with Peloton stationary bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, and a rowing machine, and weight room with a variety of free weights and power and Olympic lifting equipment.
At the Aiken Hall Fitness Center, students also have 24/7 access to cardio equipment, resistance machines, and lighter weights.
Click Center Hours
Monday through Friday: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Click Center hours may vary during summer sessions and school breaks. Changes to hours will be shared with students and posted on the Click Center doors.
