Public Health

Landmark College places a high priority on community wellness.

In the event of a public health concern, Landmark College follows guidelines and protocols based on recommendations from the CDC, the State of Vermont Department of Health, and Higher Education Health Care partners (VT College & University health care providers, ACHA).

As part of the College’s Emergency Operations Plan, we maintain a Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) dedicated to managing threats that exceed the capacity of the College’s daily operations.

This small, focused team is activated to coordinate responses to significant public health concerns and other critical incidents. Meeting regularly, the CIRT ensures that Landmark College remains prepared and effective in managing potential threats, prioritizing the safety and well-being of our community.

For all programs and semesters, Landmark College has established guidelines to minimize the impact of public health concerns.

Self-Monitoring Health

Students and employees should monitor their health daily and stay home if they are sick. Students experiencing symptoms should not attend class and should make an appointment with Health Services in the Strauch Family Student Center. Employees with symptoms should not come to campus; instead, they should contact their healthcare provider and notify their direct supervisor and Human Resources.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations are required for all students, faculty, and staff. Faculty and staff are encouraged to stay current with their vaccinations according to health authority recommendations.

Masking

The College maintains a “mask-optional” policy, allowing individuals to make personal choices regarding mask-wearing.
