Student Health Insurance
Landmark College prioritizes student well-being by ensuring that all students have the benefit of health insurance.
All new and returning students will be automatically billed for and enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan unless they have other, comparable coverage. In that case, the student must complete the Online Decision Form to formally decline the insurance.
The Landmark College Student Health Insurance Plan is administered by Gallagher Student Health & Special Risk.
For the Fall 2024 semester, the deadline for health insurance enrollment is Monday, September 16, 2024. Students receive numerous enrollment reminders before this date.
How to Decline
Gallagher Insurance will send an email to all full-time Landmark College students with a link to the Gallagher Insurance student portal. The email will be sent to the student's landmark.edu email address. Gallagher sends the emails several times before the waiver deadline.
The email will include a link to the student's Gallagher Insurance profile page and temporary password allowing the student to access their personal page.
The student will be required to set up a permanent password to set up their account. Once the student has established a permanent password, the option to waive the insurance will be added to the student's Gallagher Insurance account homepage. It may take 24 hours for the waiver button to appear.
Follow the prompts to complete the waiver.
The insurance charge on students’ tuition statements will be taken off their bill after the final waiver deadline.
Please note: The decision form must be filled out once per academic year to decline coverage. Any student who does not complete their Online Waiver Form by the deadline will be automatically enrolled in the Student Health Plan. This cannot be changed after the deadline has passed.
To decline the Student Health Plan, the student’s other coverage must be considered “comparable” to the Student Health Insurance Plan. For information on how to determine if one’s coverage is comparable, please see the Frequently Asked Questions document on the Landmark College Gallagher website.
Enrolling in the Insurance Plan
No action is required from students who would like to enroll in the Landmark College Student Health Plan. Unless steps are taken to waive the insurance, the coverage will begin August 15th. The annual coverage ends on August 14th of the following year. You’ll be automatically billed the premium for the plan on your tuition bill.
