Summer 2021 FAQ

Summer 2021 Arrival on Campus

Posted 4/13/2021—Please note that while the state of Vermont has issued reopening guidelines to help Vermont businesses and individuals toward a phased return to unrestricted travel, the current plan does not include education, health care, sports/organized sports, or youth summer camp sectors. These sectors continue to receive individualized guidance and will not move to universal guidance from the state.

In order to meet or exceed the testing and quarantine guidelines outlined by the State of Vermont, the College has extended all its summer programs to include Day Zero and Day 7 COVID-19 testing. The exended time will include various socialization and activities for students.

  1. Arrival dates for each program are:
    • High School Summer Program - Friday, July 2
    • Summer Bridge Experience - Friday, July 2
    • Summer College Readiness Program - Friday, July 9
  2. On the day of arrival, all students will be required to have a Day Zero COVID-19 test administered by the College and a follow up-test seven days after their arrival (Day 7).
  3. After taking their Day Zero test, students will enter room quarantine until test results are returned. Students who receive a negative test result will transition to a campus quarantine until their Day 7 test results are obtained.

Students should check their email for updates about any COVID-specific testing or policy-related changes, which are subject to change based on additional guidance we may receive from the State of Vermont in the weeks ahead. Thank you in advance for your support, understanding, and commitment to keeping our community safe.
